The menu on the right will take you to a selection of links to Web sites that you might find useful.
SPEED OF ACCESS If you are in the United Kingdom (or indeed, any other European country) you will find that links to the United States of America are rather slow after lunch time. It is best to get up early in the morning if you would like reasonably fast access to sites there.
IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTE Many of the practical protocols described on the Web sites mentioned here (particularly those in the USA) are forbidden in schools and colleges within the European Union, unless the national laws that govern genetic modification (implementing EC Directives 90/220/EEC and 98/81/EC) have been complied with. Essentially, within the EU it is forbidden to transfer genetic material between any species without special permission from the relevant authorities, and without strict health and safety guidelines being adhered to. Details of UK guidelines for schools are here.
PLEASE NOTE The NCBE is not responsible for the contents or reliability of the linked web sites and does not necessarily endorse the views expressed within them. Listing should not be taken as endorsement of any kind. We cannot guarantee that these links will work all of the time and we have no control over the availability of the linked pages. We do try to check the links regularly, however. | ||
